She's already had her fair share of drama on American Idol with spats with fellow diva Mariah Carey and it sounds like Nicki Minaj is getting scared about how her fans will judge her when the show airs early next year.
The singer is set to make her debut as a judge on the new season of the US TV show in January but with backstage gossip already circulating concerning high drama fights with fellow judge Mariah, Nicki is worried about how she'll come across:
"I'm scared. Maybe I shouldn't have been so like... It's hard for me to not say how I really feel." she told Ryan Seacrest's radio show ''Everyone else is so nice. I was just thinking back about some things and I was like, 'I wonder if that was not so nice.' I don't think I'm going to be able to watch it. I'm going to be so nervous."
"But I know people are going to love it. I think it's a great dynamic.''
Despite her worries the star says she prefers to be honest when it comes to the singing hopefuls
''As an artist I've always grown more from the tougher criticism and so I would like to be that person and to try to help people get that thick skin and to really give it their all, because it is a competition.''
Nicki also opened up about how her now infamous feud with judge Ms Carey and said despite not getting along well they had great chemistry. She said: ''The chemistry of the judges, I feel it while I'm there. I think it's really different from anything we've seen before on Idol and people are going to like it.''
Nicki even hinted the fierce rivals might be on better terms now and could even perform on the show together. She said: ''If she'll have me, I'll be there waiting.'
