Peaches Geldof Is 'Braindead' Over Her Diet

Peaches Geldof has slammed the Daily Mail after she was branded "brain dead" over her diet.

The 22-year-old, who has lost an alarming amount of weight over the last year, has defended herself in a rant on Twitter about the paper's story that suggested that she goes on a "juicing" diet for a month and then gorges on chips shortly after.

Peaches allegedly told The Sun: "I do juicing. You juice vegetables and then you drink it three times a day. It's gross. I do it usually for about a month."

The TV presenter continued: "I have no willpower but with the juicing I'm like, I have to do it because I have to lose this extra ten pounds."

But according to the MailOnline, Peaches displays an unhealthy attitude to food, as she also said: "I will lose it then I'm back going mental for the chips."

Cath Collins, a spokeswoman for the British Dietetic Association, told the paper: "Peaches joins a long line of celebs who are braindead when it comes to nutrition. Surviving on fruit is a very dangerous diet."

They also added: "Peaches is at high risk of electrolyte abnormalities which could lead to acute cardiac arrest."

"Rapid dieting like this not only makes you lose muscle strength but wastes away your internal organs. It is what kills anorexics. It is a stupid approach and it is irresponsible to promote this sort of disordered eating."

She also added: "It's worrying that somebody who has money and access to contacts would pick such a ridiculous way to diet."

Just a few moments ago, Peaches defended herself and insists that she doesn't diet. In a series of tweets, she wrote: "The Daily Mail are such utter twats, after I tweeted about 7 times yesterday that OK magazines recent 'interview' with me was actually fake-

"-they respond by hastily printing an article on their website about how 'dangerous' my 'diet' is and how I 'survive on juice only' after OK-

"printed those quotes from pulled together articles on me and out of context years-old interviews. It's just cheeky and bad journalism. I-

"don't diet, I eat healithily, nor do I 'survive on juice'. I like juice, with my BREAKFAST. The Daily Mail hate women, ethnic minorities (sic)".

She also added: "people who arent rampant Tories or better yet, covert BNP members & they hate me. I wipe my arse with better stuff than their 'news' paper."
