Father-to-be Prince William celebrates his 31st birthday today, just weeks ahead of the arrival of his first child with wife Kate Middleton.
The Duke of Cambridge is set to become a first-time dad next month, when Kate gives birth to the much-anticipated royal baby. 31 years ago today, Princess Diana gave birth to William Arthur Philip Louis at St Mary's Hospital in London, the same hospital where Kate is said to be delivering their baby in July.
It has been reported that Wills will be spending the day "privately", according to a rep from St James's Palace - no doubt having a good time with Kate.
Earlier this week, sources suggested that Wills intends to be at the birth of his first born, and following in the footsteps of his father Prince Charles by being in the same room as his wife as she gives birth.
Prince Charles first broke tradition in 1982, with Prince William and later in 1984 with Harry when Diana gave birth to their boys.

Over the next few weeks, Wills will continue to work as a search and rescue pilot for the RAF and will still be based in Anglesey, Wales.
But should their little one come early, it's thought that William could take a helicopter to make sure he is there when the baby is born.
The couple reportedly are still unaware of the sex of the child, with an aide suggesting that the couple are looking forward to the surprise despite speculation around whether it's a girl because Kate wore pink to her last formal public engagement at the Trooping of the Colour last weekend.
Enjoy your birthday Wills!
