Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge thrilled school children in Manchester yesterday as she revealed exactly what princess get up to.
The pregnant royal, who is due to give birth to her first child in July, looked through a book which the school children had made predicting what life is like as a princess. According to the Telegraph she leafed through it and delighted the children by confirming most of their predictions were correct.
She said: "Eat bananas? Yes I certainly do that. Dancing, yes that too. Eat sweets. Yes I like all those!"
The Duchess made the visit to the school to launch a new program launched by Action on Addiction and Place2Be of which she is patron, to help children whose parents are battling addiction.
Speaking about the issue, which Kate has made a central focus of her work since becoming a royal, she said: “Addiction is a hugely complex and destructive disease and its impact can be simply devastating. All too often, lives and families can be shattered by it.

“Research has shown that children of those who are addicted are seven times more likely to have addiction problems themselves. They are also brought up surrounded by fear, instability and chaos.”
Later the royal, who was joined by comedian John Bishop for the visit on behalf of Comic Relief, who are also supporting the scheme, planted a tree to mark their visit.
While Kate took up the spade the comedian, joked: "I can't believe you have got a pregnant woman shovelling dirt like this while I'm standing around."

Praising the 31 year-old's dedication to the cause, she said: "I think it is great that the royals are tackling raw, ugly, dirty and difficult issues such as addiction. They could spend their time and money on the National Theatre and no-one would think anything wrong with it.
"But this is about people shooting up in toilets. It goes against type and it is fantastic. Addiction is harrowing for all those involved."
