Rihanna Reveals Pharrell Williams Is Joining Styled To Rock

Rihanna has taken to Facebook to reveal some very exciting news to fans of her hit show Style To Rock; she's only gone and signed up Pharrell Williams as a brand-new mentor for her fashion savvy contestants.

The Facebook post, which has received over 10,000 likes since being published earlier this evening, reveals the news of Pharrell's joining the Styled To Rock team - as well as a few hints about the premiere date to boot:

"Grammy Award winner and fashion designer Pharrell Williams has just been announced to be serving as one of the mentors on Rih’s Styled To Rock show in the US."

"Slated to premiere in 2013 on Style Network, the 10-episode series will give 12 up-and-coming designers the opportunity of a lifetime – to create unique fashion pieces for A-list celebrity talent."

Salaam Coleman Smith, president of Style Media, issued the following statement as the casting news hit the social media-verse, explaining that Pharrell's "unique aesthetic" will have a huge impact on the show's contestants:

“We are delighted to have Pharrell, who is a driving force in both the music industry and fashion world, serve as a mentor on Styled to Rock."

“Pharrell's unique aesthetic and commitment to individuality combined with Rihanna's vision for this series will enable our aspiring designers to hone their craft and learn from the very people who set the trends.”

We imagine Pharrell will be a pretty impressive asset to the show; after all, he's already got several clothing lines out, including Billionaire Boys Club, Billionaire Girls Club, Bee Line, ICECREAM, not to mention designed jewelry and accessories for Louis Vuitton, furniture and products with Moncier and Takashi Murakami.
