There's been talk for months about the possibility of Robert Pattinson taking the role of Christian in the movie version of 'Fifty Shades of Grey'. But apparently despite the gossip the film is, understandably perhaps given his complicated personal life, not anywhere near the forefront of the 'Twilight' actor's mind.
A source close to the actor told Hollywoodlife: “There isn’t even a script and it is still very much in development with Universal so he doesn’t even have it on his radar. His agents wouldn’t and haven’t even presented him with anything because nothing in the film has been remotely close to being completed."
The insider reportedly added: "No script, no director, etc. It's a complete out of sight, out of mind situation. He is happy with his current career path and is not in any way bothered by talk of him being in that film. He just doesn’t care.”

This rather fits in with R-Patz's only real statement so far on the movie, in which he joked about how author E.L. James had snubbed him for a spot, and maintained an air of detached amusement about the whole frenzied casting situation. However with a script and a real prospect of a role that could perhaps all change.
The actor told author Talia Soghomonian in an interview: “I think the author has written me out of it. I saw some interview earlier and they went, oh, it could never be him. And I’m like ,'Hey, I’m going to make you pay for that!'”
So it seems Rob's being pretty dismissive of the film, is he right to be so?
