One would have thought that as one of the world's most famous Brits Robert Pattinson would be an ambassador for the joys of a British accent.
But it seems that Rob has lost the accent that won him a role as Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter films. According to Perez Hilton the star has needed vocal coaching to return his voice to its former British glory for his film 'Bel Ami'.
Co-star Christina Ricci admitted that the 'Twilight' star required the services of a coach to return his voice to his country of origin, due to the fact that he has spent so long in LA, Ricci said:
"They hired a wonderful accent coach who coached me…and also coached him because he spent a lot of time in L.A. I got to make fun of him because he's actually British and sometimes would sound like he was a Valley girl. And he made fun of me because I was trying to be British and would sometimes sound like a Valley girl."
Rob's wandering vocals could also be a result of spending too much time with girlfriend Kristen Stewart, as she herself is a 'Valley girl' as Ricci puts it.
