Channing Tatum has today been unveiled as People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, but the decision hasn't been well-received by everyone.
Whilst the buff star does undoubtedly have his fair share of fans, such an accolade was always bound to divide opinion.
Last year's winner was Bradley Cooper, who followed Ryan Reynolds, Johnny Depp, Hugh Jackman, George Clooney, Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, Matt Damon and Jude Law.
But the man many had hoped would win this year is Ryan Gosling.
Following is smouldering appearances in 'Crazy Stupid Love' and 'Drive', he seemed to be the person with the most bitter fans.
Writing on Twitter, one disgrunted fan (@ljkaram) wrote: "THE GUY LOOKS LIKE A THUMB COMPARED TO RYAN GOSLING."
Another wrote: "why is Ryan Gosling not the SMA?? #TeamRyan" (@BrookeJackson_).
@emdelaney52 wondered "Is there no justice?", whilst @kaceyleib said "When is Ryan Gosling going to stand up for himself and confront People mag about yet again denying him his rightful title as sexiest man?"
It wasn't all negative though. It's safe to say that Channing has own fair share of supporters as well who were more than willing to lend their support to the 'Magic Mike' star.
