It looks as though American Idol bosses will have to continue their search to find new American Idol judges after Jon Bon Jovi ruled out a possible stint as a judge on the show.
Following her exit from the show, Jennifer Lopez revealed that she would like to see the rocker sit on the panel. However, Jen's wish to see Jon on the panel is unlikely to happen after a source revealed that the star will be too busy with other projects to commit to the hit TV talent show.
The source revealed to TMZ: "With all systems go for a new album and a mega-tour on the horizon, Jon wouldn't be able to give those aspiring singers the guidance they deserve.
"Jon wouldn't commit to anything unless he can give 100 per cent. With planning for the next album already underway, he's focused on the band."
Remaining coy over who would be replacing Steven Tyler and Jennifer on the panel when the show returns next year, executive producer Nigel Lythgoe told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM show:
"[T]here are so many names coming at me at the moment. I joke about it and say, 'Oh, I'm looking for the Three Stooges or Jerry Lewis.' But at the end of the day, I think what we've seriously got to talk about is just using people for a year…If we do want these big stars, and we do, you cannot take them away from what they do. That's depriving the public of a star for a start and stopping them from earning a lot of money."
Miley Cyrus, Adam Lambert and Mariah Carey are some of the celebrities who have been linked to the roles of American Idol judges.
