Self-Conscious Kristen Stewart Feels 'Fans Are Laughing Behind Her Back'

Kristen Stewart admits that while she "loves being an actress" there are downsides to living the famous life, including fans who stare at her without talking leading her to believe everyone's laughing at her.

The Twilight actress has been subjected to taunts since it was revealed that she had cheated on boyfriend and co-star Robert Pattinson with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders earlier this year, so it's understandable that Kristen feels people are talking about her.

The 23-year-old says she feels "uncomfortable" when fans spot her in the street and stare at her without saying anything.

"It’s your attitude, it’s your perspective but sometimes I have to kick myself and go, they’re not laughing at you," Kristen told Tavis Smiley on PBS.

"They’re just smiling, but naturally, you look around and it’s like you’re back in school or something. People look over and it’s strange for them, I don’t know what it is."

"It’s a lot of laughter. I’m like, everyone is laughing at me. Literally, everyone is laughing. I feel like I’m in third grade or something," Kristen continued.

"I am really glad I started when I was 9 or 10. It was good I started young and unselfconscious."

Kristen had better get used to even more prying eyes looking her way as she has confirmed she will be playing Ben Affleck's love interest in forthcomng rom-com Focus.

K-Stew told the HuffingtonPost, “I can confirm that rumor,” referring to stories that emerged last month that she’s slated to be in the film. “It’s a comedy. I’m really excited about it,” she added.
