Tulisa Contostavlos has apologised to fans after illness forced her to scrap a planned performance at a music festival at late notice.
The N-Dubz star was due to play at the GuilFest event in Surrey on Saturday, but devotees were left disappointed when organisers told the crowd she would no longer be appearing.
Reports suggested Contostavlos had been complaining about an upset stomach while celebrating her 24th birthday in the Spanish party island of Ibiza this week, but festival bosses failed to offer an official reason for her no-show.
However, Contostavlos has now spoken out to address the incident, admitting she was simply too sick to hit the stage.
In a Twitter.com post on Sunday, she writes, "So sorry I had to cancel at Guilfest guys. I was really unwell. Hate letting down my fans but I genuinely couldn't perform. Im (sic) on the mend (in recovery)".
