Simon Cowell has reportedly secured Olympic double gold medallist Mo Farah to appear on The X Factor as a mentor.
The 29-year-old wowed the nation during the London 2012 Games when he won gold in both the 5,000 and 10,000 metres race. It seems X Factor boss Simon has also had a touch of the Mo-fever that has swept the country and has enlisted him and many other Team GB athletes to join him in giving advice and encouragement to this year's hopefuls.
"Teaming up with our athletes means they can offer training and pep talks," a source told The Sun.
"People like Mo know about dedication and hard work. It’s only right we invite them to help us shape our future pop stars."
Apparently, Simon is keen to capture the "spirit" of the Games which has gripped the nation over the last fortnight.
The ninth season of The X Factor begins tonight on ITV1.
Is it relevant to have Olympians star on the show? We'd love to see Simon do the Mobot!
