'Her Songs Put Me In A Trance': Britney Spears Gushes About Adele In Open Love Letter

Britney Spears has revealed her girl crush on 'Someone Like You' hitmaker Adele, admitting that the singer's songs leave her in a “trance,” in an emotional letter published in an upcoming issue of Elle magazine.

Oscar-winner Adele graces the cover of the Women In Music May issue of the magazine along with Rita Ora and Alicia Keys. As part of the celebrations for the most successful young women in the industry, several of their peers have praised the singers for their achievements with former X Factor judge Britney revealing that Adele's ballads leave her feeling “emotional.”

“Her voice is just not like any other voice out there,” Britney says in the letter. “It draws the emotion out of you. A lot of her songs kind of put me in a trance.

“We were both at the VMAs, and they were like, 'Do you want to meet Adele?' And I was like, ‘Um, yes!' She was even better than I imagined, in person – she's so incredibly down-to-earth.”

Britney goes on to credit Adele for not allowing the music industry to change her down-to-earth personality, adding: “You can tell she hasn't gotten caught up in that pop music machine thing – which is easy to get caught in – and she hasn't just listened to what executives were telling her to do.

“All of her stuff is hers, and that's really amazing.”

Well said Britney! Adele, Rita Ora and Alicia Keys feature on three separate covers of Elle's Women In Music issue, which also features Kelly Rowland.
