Sorry Kanye West! Eminem Declared Hip-Hop's True 'Rap God'

Eminem has every right to declare himself a 'Rap God' on his new single with the rapper winning in a poll against Kanye West and Kendrick Lamar to decide once and for all who is the rightful owner of the title.

The Slim Shady star debuted 'Rap God,' a track from his upcoming album 'Marshall Mathers LP 2,' earlier this week and raised a few eyebrows with his bold statement of being one of the greatest rappers in history despite sporadically releasing music over the last few years.

It seems Eminem's comments weren't too ambitious as the rapper has taken the lead in the poll conducted by EntertainmentWise this week, with an incredible and untouchable 81.44% of the votes. Not bad going considering he hasn't had an album since 2010's 'Recovery' and 'MMLP2' is yet to be released!

Trailing far behind in second place is Kanye West with 11.97% of the votes, something which will no doubt make the 'New Slave' hitmaker's blood boil considering he recently claimed to be the world's “biggest rock star.”

Kanye West will no doubt be disappointed coming second (WENN)

“We the new rock stars, and I'm the biggest of all of them. I'm the No.1 rock star on the planet,” Kanye said in an interview with Radio 1's Zane Lowe earlier this month. No doubt that ego of his is taking a huge bruising. Although we're sure girlfriend Kim Kardashian will help nurse him back to health.

New kid on the block Kendrick Lamar came last with little more than 6% (WENN)

And last, but not least, 'Swimming Pools' rapper Kendrick Lamar is the – sore – loser coming last with just a measly 6.6%, although that shouldn't come as a surprise as while he's certainly the one of the best things to come out of rap in several years, he only released his debut album 'Good Kid, m.A.A.d. City' this year. The Compton rapper claimed he was the "King of New York" and also threatened to steal fans from his competition including Drake, J. Cole and A$AP Rocky.

So there you have it, hip-hop's Rap God has officially been crowned. To celebrate, listen to Eminem's new single below...
