The Stone Roses And The Killers Bring V Festival To A Close

As the sun set on V Festival last night (August 19) The Stone Roses continued their triumphant return as they played to thousands of fans in Staffordshire.

The Manchester legends, who reformed earlier this year, completed the weekend's music celebrations with a set list of their greatest hits including 'I Wanna Be Adored' and 'I Am The Resurrection'.

Over at the festival's sister site in Essex, The Killers rounded of the events by debuting tracks from their forthcoming new album Battle Born.

Of course fans also got treated to favourites 'Somebody Told Me', 'All These Things That I've Done' and 'Mr Brightside'.

Speaking to the crowd, Brandon Flowers said "We're going to pay tribute to one of the UK's finest'' before playing a cover of Oasis' 1995 classic 'Don't Look Back In Anger'.

Other highlights of this weekend's V Festival came from Miles Kane, Noel Gallagher and our favourite UK rapper Tinie Tempah.
