Stooshe have revealed they turned down Simon Cowell's offer to sign to his Syco record label as they wanted to maintain creative control of their music.
The 'Waterfalls' singers are currently on the Warner roster but very nearly joined the likes of Leona Lewis, One Direction, Little Mix and Labrinth on X Factor boss Simon Cowell's record label machine.
However, the ladies reveal the trio admit that they bravely turned down the opportunity to put their career in Simon's hands as they wanted to ensure they didn't change their music and image to suit his label.
"We wanted creative control. We didn’t want to be changed or moulded into something we’re not, and we couldn’t come to an agreement. But we still respect him. There wasn’t any fall-out," group member Courtney told The Sun.
Stooshe are no doubt laughing in Simon's face as they have managed to forge a successful career with his help, scoring two top five hits with their debut single 'Love Me' and 'Black Heart.'
The ladies will also be embarking on their first headline UK tour in December, which will see them performing in cities including Birmingham, Manchester, Oxford, Glasgow and London. The tour will support their debut album Stooshe which has been pushed back to March 2013.
