Susan Boyle was left "terrified and shaken" after a fan attempted to break into her hotel room this week, according to a report.
A man allegedly followed the singer to back to her room at a hotel in Liverpool after evading her security team.
The Scottish star managed to get away from him, but the incident gave her a fright.
A source tells The Daily Mirror, "Some fans waited for her in the lift but Susan spotted them and took the stairs. Her room was on the fourth floor so it was a fair walk. This man realised she was taking the stairs so he followed her. He made a dash for her door, saying he wanted her autograph, but she managed to get into the room safe and sound. It was really scary for her. To follow someone up the stairs for four floors is a bit creepy. She was terrified and shaken."
She had earlier performed in her stage show I Dreamed a Dream: The Susan Boyle Musical at Liverpool's Empire Theatre.
It is the latest scare for Boyle - her former gardener turned up at her Scottish house and drunkenly demanded money earlier this month, and in 2010, she discovered a teenage intruder in her home.
