The X Factor 2013: Live Show 1 - Top 3 Performances (WATCH)

Last night the final 12 X Factor hopefuls took to the stage to sing live for a place in next week's show, and - with nobody wanting to be the first culled - most of them bought their A-game. But who really ruled the roost?

While some flopped (Miss Dynamix... what happened?) and others just didn't meet our sky-high expectations (Hannah Barrett being on first probably didn't help her), these three really soared.

What do you think? Who were your faves?

Tamera Foster and Sam Bailey (ITV)

3. Tamera Foster

Tamera went into the live shows in such a blaze of hype that anything less than brilliant would have been a disappointment - and luckily she delivered. Making 'Ain't Nobody' sound fresh despite being covered about 8534 times in the past, she was comfortably the standout contender from Nicole Scherzinger's Girls category and is a sure bet for at least the mid-way stage in the finals - and probably even the final.

2. Rough Copy

Reunited as a three-piece, Rough Copy marked themselves as potential dark horses for the title last night with a great performance of 'In The Air Tonight'. With slick vocals and a chemistry that just clicks, they managed to put their tabloid-baiting personal lives firmly out of the spotlight and closed the show on a high note.

1. Sam Bailey

Sam's been hyped-up to the max over recent weeks but, despite a gorgeous new hairdo and some sophisticated stage production, it was her voice that caught everyone's attention. Her rendition of 'The Power Of Love' was nothing short of sensational, and we just hope she's every bit as good when it comes to themes outside of her comfort zone.
