The next lot of streets to get a massive clean up in Hull have been revealed. The Love Your Neighbourhood scheme, which has seen hundreds of streets get extra attention over the last year, will be arriving in the Ings and Derringham areas from next week.

Several streets within these areas will be tackled between Monday 10 June and Friday 5 July, leaving the streets transformed and residents with a renewed sense of pride in their community.

During this period, the team will carry out a range of clear-up tasks, including verge cutting, grounds maintenance, and street cleaning works. The streets that will be included are:

  • Balham Avenue

  • Epping Close

  • Walworth Close

  • Brockley Close

  • Cricklewood Walk

  • Neasden Close

  • Catford Close

  • Bristol Road

  • Ilford Road

  • Worcester Road

  • Danube Road

  • Coventry Road

  • Hove Road

  • Dayton Road

  • Flaxton Road

  • Strensall Road

Doug Sharp, head of street cleansing and waste management at Hull City Council, said: “We are thrilled to announce that the next two phases of the Love Your Neighbourhood project will be taking place in the Ings and Derringham areas of Hull. The dedicated team are ready to transform these neighbourhoods, to make them a clean and welcoming place for residents to live.

“We hope everyone who lives in these areas will reap the benefits of this wonderful city-wide project.”

Love Your Neighbourhood is a new citywide tidy-up programme designed to tackle small areas one at a time. The team will tidy each area over a two-week period, after which residents should see a noticeable difference in the look and feel of their neighbourhood.
