Neymar has followed Lionel Messi in criticising Barcelona's board over the exit of their former team-mate Luis Suarez.

Messi posted a heartfelt goodbye message to the Uruguayan, who is leaving Barca to join Atletico Madrid after being told he is not part of the club's plans, in which he also attacked the board for their treatment of the striker.

"You deserved to depart like you are: one of the most important players in the club's history, winning things as part of a group and individually," Messi wrote on Instagram.

"Not for them to kick you out as they have done. But the truth is nothing surprises me any more."

And Neymar, who formed an attacking trident with Messi and Suarez described by their former coach Luis Enrique as "the greatest in football history", replied to the post.

"Incredible how they do things," the Brazilian wrote, alongside a facepalm emoji.

Former Barca midfielder Cesc Fabregas also responded with applause emojis underneath the Argentine's post.
