NFL fans left frustrated at BBC coverage of Oakland Raiders v Seattle Seahawks
NFL fans have complained about coverage of the Oakland Raiders v Seattle Seahawks game after they were forced to switch to the red button halfway through.
The Oakland Raiders were playing the Seattle Seahawks as part of the NFL International Series at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
A number of frustrated fans took to social media to share their displeasure at coverage of the game while others were quick to point out that despite the switch, it was still available in full.
Kurt Wilson wrote: "The #BBC relegate a great #NFL event on BBC2 to the damned red button nearly halfway through the game. Clueless scheduling, this deserves top billing."
Do BBC 2 have any idea how long an NFL game lasts? pic.twitter.com/xOw7NcIDDQ

BBC probably paid a fortune to show the #NFL and then bump it to red button in lieu of Sue Perkins visiting a Chimp Sanctuary. Bizarre decision. And I love Chimps.

While Jamez said: “Really disappointing that BBC have moved live NFL game to the red button for some rubbish programming probably a repeat. No help trying to build the game over here."
I really don’t understand why @BBC move #NFL from a HD feed on bbc2 to a terrible SD feed on red button. It’s not as if it’s an unplanned broadcast. @markchapman

Throughout the transmission, viewers were warned that the programme would switch to the red button however some chose to air their frustration online.
The BBC also warned people on Twitter to switch to the red button to watch the rest of the game however people were still unhappy.
The Seattle Seahawks cruised past the Oakland Raiders winning 27-3.
The official attendance at the match was 84,922, a record for an NFL game in the UK.
Next Sunday, the Tennessee Titans will make their London debut, taking on the Los Angeles Chargers, while on October 28, the Jacksonville Jaguars will play the Philadelphia Eagles.
