Yahoo News NFL Sideline Official Hospitalized After Gruesome Collision with Saints' Alvin Kamara
The Saints said the injured sideline official is in "stable condition" after suffering a dislocated knee

The incident occurred during the second quarter when Saints running back Alvin Kamara collided with sideline official Nick Piazza, according to NOLA.com.
Kamara, 28, lost control of the play and fell out of bounds on a pass from quarterback Derek Carr. As Kamara fell, he collided with Piazza and crashed into his leg before the official could jump out of the way.
Cameras stayed on Kamara and Piazza as the official subsequently fell to the ground. Piazza appeared to be in great pain as the Saints' medical team attended to his injury.
After a lengthy pause, the sideline official was carted off of the field in a stretcher and his leg was wrapped into an air cast.
Kamara appeared concerned after the collision and was seen checking on the sideline official while the game was paused.

"He is in stable condition and we will provide an update (Monday) after he completes further testing," the spokesperson added.

Sunday's game was otherwise significant for Kamara, who broke the franchise's previous record for most rushing touchdowns from former Saints star Mark Ingram.

Social media users reacted strongly to the gruesome blow, with one account warning viewers not to watch the play if they're "squeamish" at all.
"I had to scroll fast the first time. I'm not meant for the medical field," another user wrote on X.
"You can hear the screaming. God be with him," wrote another account.
The Saints ultimately fell to the Lions 33-28 in Sunday's game, and New Orleans is now 5-7 on the season. The victory for Detroit improves the Lions' record to 10-3 going into Week 14.
