Talk about brotherly love! Boston Bruins forward Nick Foligno shared some funny anecdotes about younger brother Marcus when he joined the Spittin' Chiclets podcast this week, and one really stood out when the older brother revealed how he shared a room with Marcus until he got married.
Nick tied the knot with Janelle back in 2011, and that’s what it took to move out of the room he shared with his younger brother Marcus.
“I think Marcus might have told you guys: we shared a room until I was just married.”

Hosts Ryan Whitney and Paul Bissonnette were stunned by the revelation and mocked the brothers, though Nick explained how they are very close despite the age gap between them.
“That’s just the way we were, I didn’t know any different. I remember just getting married that summer. ... It was pretty fun growing up. I’m lucky. We are very close even though the age gap is four years. I consider him my best friend, he is a guy that I’ve leaned on, we’ve leaned on each other and now seeing him where he is in his career, it’s pretty awesome.”
Nick was selected in the first round, 28th overall, by the Ottawa Senators back in the 2006 NHL Draft. Three years later, Marcus was picked 104th overall by the Buffalo Sabres. The latter has taken an especially long path to get to where he is at today, from 4th-round pick to playing a big role on the third line of the Minnesota Wild in the midst of a tight playoff run. Game 5 goes Tuesday night at the Xcel Energy Center in Minnesota with the series all tied up 2-2. Marcus has put up two assists in four games, along with 14 penalty minutes.
The Bruins are also tied up 2-2 in their first round series against the Carolina Hurricanes with the fifth game taking place Tuesday night in Raleigh. Nick has yet to get his name on the scoresheet in four games against the Canes.
