April 30 (The Sports Xchange) - Right winger Jaromir Jagr re-signed with the New Jersey Devils, the team announced Wednesday. The Devils named the 42-year-old Jagr their most valuable player this season after he led them in assists (43), points (67), plus-minus (plus-16), game-winning goals (six) and shots (231). He was second on the team with 24 goals. - - Jagr, Manny Malhotra of the Carolina Hurricanes and Dominic Moore of the New York Rangers were named three finalists for the 2013-14 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy. The award goes to the player who "best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey." The winner will be announced June 24. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
