NHS cancels non-urgent appointments as Storm Eowyn red weather warning locks down central belt
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has announced it will cancel all non-urgent outpatient appointments and routine hospital appointments due to Storm Eowyn.
Following advice not to travel from Police Scotland, the health board will rearrange appointments and has apologised for any inconvenience.
Anyone affected by cancellations will be contacted and have their appointments rescheduled as soon as possible. Urgent and emergency care and essential maternity and community services will all run as normal.

It comes as the Met Office predicts wind gusts of nearly 90mph for large areas of central Scotland. The forecaster has issued a rare red "danger to life" weather warning for the city.
The warning is in place from 10am on Friday until 5pm. An amber weather warning has also been issued throughout Friday.

"We apologise for the inconvenience, but in view of the travel advice from Police Scotland, do not wish to risk patients travelling for non-urgent care.
"Urgent and emergency care and essential maternity and community services will continue to be provided. If you are affected, we will reschedule your appointment as soon as possible.
"All vaccination clinics due to take place on Friday 24th January have been cancelled and appointments will be rescheduled.
