NHS delivers mental health support to millions of pupils

Claire Murdoch, head of mental health for the NHS, visited Richard Challoner School in Surrey to coincide with The NHS Long Term Plan, which is set to provide mental health teams to help over three million pupils by April 2024. NHS mental health support teams are now in place in around 4,700 schools and colleges across the country, with 287 expert teams offering support to children experiencing anxiety, depression, and other common mental health issues.
