Niall Horan has been working with Rolling Stones producer Don Was

As if Harry Styles and Ronnie Wood’s friendship wasn’t rock-and-roll enough, the pair’s pals are also becoming the best of friends.

According to reports, Irish Niall Horan has struck up a friendship with Rolling Stones’ producer, Don Was, after being introduced to him by Ronnie.

Together, Niall and Don have gone on to record an acoustic version of Niall’s debut solo single, ‘This Town’, as well as some other tracks.

Speaking to The Daily Star, an insider dished: “Niall got in contact with Don through Ronnie Wood who has been friendly with 1D a while.

“Niall loves his classic rock and Don is ideal to help Niall develop.”

Don first started working with the Rolling Stones way back in 1994, producing their album ‘Voodoo Lounge’, and he went on to work with the rockers many more times since.

Don also produced Iggy Pop’s 1990 album ‘Brick By Brick’, Sir Elton John’s ‘To Be Continued’ and Bob Dylan’s ‘Under The Red Sky’.

Here’s hoping that we’ll be able to hear some of Niall and Don’s efforts when Niall releases his debut solo album later this year, with the star teasing that he was looking forward to going on tour as a solo artist.

However, Niall has also promised that this isn’t the end of One Direction, telling a radio host: “There’s going to be plenty more One Direction shows, that’s a guarantee so it’s not a case of one more show.

“There’s definitely more than one more 1D show coming up, that’s a fact.”
