The music video for Niall Horan's latest track 'Too Much to Ask' has finally dropped, and it's just as heartbreaking as the lyrics.

Someone's clearly hurt the poor lad rather badly and it seems he needs a big hug. (We're happy to volunteer there).

Anyway, the video starts with the One Direction star sitting on the end of a bed in a dimly lit room, singing about missing someone, then he heads onto the underground and a loved-up couple only make things worse.

He manages to drag himself out for a pint with some mates, but ends up wandering the streets of London alone by the end. Bless him.

The track follows the releases of 'Slow Hands' and 'This Town' from Niall's debut album Flicker, which is out on October 20.

He's a busy lad these days, as he's also currently embarking on his solo Flicker Sessions Tour.

In other slightly heartbreaking One Direction news, Niall recently revealed the band's first ever gig was actually the worst night of his life.

"I never want to talk about that gig again," he told the BBC. "Worst night of my life. The worst One Direction show ever.

"We've refused to talk about it ever since. It was a disaster. We were just a joke."

Well, at least things improved, eh?
