Niall Horan's likely Newcastle setlist including One Direction song ahead of Utilita Arena gig

Having already entertained fans in numerous cities over the summer, Niall Horan is bringing his The Show tour to Newcastle this weekend and One Direction fans will be thrilled to know that one of the boyband's tracks has made its way onto the setlist.

Like ex bandmates Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik, Niall was catapulted to worldwide fame when all five lads were put into a group together on The X Factor in 2010, having originally all auditioned for the ITV series as solo singers. Guest judge at the time, Nicole Scherzinger, is still adamant she was the one responsible but, regardless as to who made the call, One Direction went onto be the biggest success story to emerge from The X Factor, even though they didn't win.

After beating beaten into third place by Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson, the group hit number 1 with debut single What Makes You Beautiful and quickly became huge on both side of the Atlantic and across the globe. And, since the Brit winners decided to call it a day in 2015, Niall has been doing rather well on his own.

His debut album Flicker reached the top 3 in the UK and included smash hit Slow Hands and Heartbreak Weather did even better, reaching number 1. Third solo release The Show came out last year and songs from all three are on the potential setlist for Newcastle's Utilita Arena on Friday night, along with 1D album track Stockholm Syndrome.
