Nicaragua Inundated With Floodwater After Hurricane Iota

At least six people died and more than 60,000 people were evacuated from their homes as Hurricane Iota made its way across Nicaragua after making landfall on November 16, local media reported.

The storm had weakened to a tropical depression by the early hours of November 18. The National Hurricane Center warned of flooding and landslides, especially given soils already saturated by recent storms.
