Nick Grimshaw says he's 'not ready' to take on 'Strictly Come Dancing'
Nick Grimshaw has said he will not be taking part in Strictly Come Dancing this year despite persistent rumours, saying he's "not ready" for the commitment the show requires.
The radio presenter discussed the show while interviewing current Strictly professional champion Giovanni Pernice on Dish — his podcast with chef Angela Hartnett for Waitrose.

The 37-year-old star said he "would like to do" Strictly, but was very aware that "you can't do it half-a***d" and have to give it everything when you decide to take part.
He added: "You've got to go and be like 'right, this is my focus now for months, every single day, I'm gonna be committed, I'm ready to be taught'. And I'm not ready."
Pernice won Strictly in 2021 alongside EastEnders actor Rose Ayling-Ellis, who became the first deaf person to compete on the shiny floor of the ballroom.
It's set to be all-change on the 2022 series of the show, with Anton Du Beke taking over permanently from outgoing judge Bruno Tonioli on the expert panel.

There will also be a shake-up to the professional roster, with popular dancers Oti Mabuse and Aljaž Škorjanec among those saying goodbye to the BBC blockbuster.
This week, Italian dance ace Vito Coppola appeared to announce that he will be one of the new additions to the team of professionals.
Grimshaw, meanwhile, left his long-running job as a DJ on BBC Radio 1 last year, saying goodbye to the drivetime slot he took over from Greg James in 2018.
He had previously hosted the flagship breakfast show since 2012, taking over from the highly successful Chris Moyles in that slot.
