Nicki Minaj has posted about troubles getting in the UK ahead of a gig in Manchester - with just 24 hours before she is due in Birmingham. The US rapper is performing at the Resorts World Arena on May 26 - but is having trouble getting into the UK.

Her Coop Live performance tonight is shrouded in uncertainty after the rapper shared a series of worrying tweets. The 'Super Bass' singer, who is due to perform at Manchester arena, has been posting about her travel woes from Amsterdam, claiming her luggage was seized by airport security, allegedly to "sabotage my tour".

In a tweet, Nicki disclosed that her bags were taken without her permission and hinted at a potential delay for her Manchester show, saying: "now they said they found weed and that another group of pp have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls". She expressed her frustration, noting her plane was meant to depart two hours prior.

At 3pm, she tweeted her concern: "They're trying to keep me from MANCHESTER."

Footage followed of an airport official seemingly requesting a luggage inspection.

Nicki then updated fans before 4pm with: "It's a 45 minute to an hour flight. So they're prob trying to stall for about 4 hours.", reports the Manchester Evening News.

She further mentioned: "Now they said I have to go 5 mins away to make a statement about my security to the police precinct."

Since then, there have been no updates on her situation as of 5pm.

The Arena was contacted for comment, and the Manchester Evening News was told to await a further statement from promoter Live Nation. Live Nation are yet to confirm the status of the show.

The American rapper and singer is coming to Manchester as part of her world tour which celebrates her latest album Pink Friday 2 - a sequel to her debut 2010 album Pink Friday. Following tonight's show, she is set to perform in Birmingham, then London, before travelling to Paris, Amsterdam, Cologne, and Berlin.

Co-op Live itself has not been a stranger to issues and delays. Many music fans have previously had their gigs rescheduled following the delayed opening of the venue which was attributed to a collapse of a portion of the ventilation and air conditioning from the ceiling earlier this month.
