Nicki Minaj has promised fans she will return to Manchester after her Co-op Arena show was postponed.

Some 20,000 fans in the Manchester venue were disappointed yesterday, May 25, after it was announced the highly anticipated show would not be going ahead following the star's detainment at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.

In a statement, an arena spokesman said: "Despite Nicki’s best efforts to explore every possible avenue to make tonight’s show happen, the events of today have made it impossible. We are deeply disappointed by the inconvenience this has caused."

It will be sometime in June or July like I mentioned last night. #GagCityManchester and like I also mentioned, I’ll be doing an added surprise bonus for you guys as well."

It is expected the concert due to take place at the Co-Op Arena on May 30 will go ahead as planned, as Nicki added: "To the #Manchester barbz scheduled for the 30th, I look forward to seeing you in just a few more days. Love you."
