This Saturday saw the 'Starships' hitmaker heading to Manchester for her upcoming Pink Friday 2 Tour performance. Despite vehemently denying any drug possession during an Instagram Live session, she was instructed to report to the police station, reports the Mirror.

In the live video, a male voice informed her that she would "get a lawyer at the office". Yet, during the same broadcast, Nicki claimed she was ordered to "get into this [police] van and go into the precinct with no lawyer present".

Accuses airport staff

Nicki has accused airport staff of attempting to 'plant things' in her luggage amid her tour troubles.

Before the supposed arrest, Nicki unleashed a flurry of social media updates about her luggage being singled out for inspection at the airport. "They've been trying everything they possibly can to TRY to stop this tour," she vented on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

She then suggested that there were attempts to "plant things" in her bags. The star also posted a video on Instagram showing a man informing her that the police required a more thorough examination of her belongings.

Accompanying the video, she expressed her frustration: "They've been trying to stop me from coming to every show. They took my bags before I could see them. Put it on the plane. Now saying they're waiting on customs. This is what it looks like when ppl are paid big money to try to sabotage a tour after all else failed. Everything they've done is illegal."

The airport staff member offered an apology for the mishap. Nicki concluded her video with a resigned "Okay, of course."

Coop Live cancellation

Fans were gearing up for an exciting evening at Manchester's Co-Op Live Arena, with doors originally scheduled to open at 7pm yesterday. However, there was a slight delay, and attendees only started entering at around 7.15pm, as seen in videos posted on X, previously known as Twitter.

Inside, fans shared their excitement with snaps and updates while awaiting the performance.

But the anticipation turned to disappointment when, at 9.38pm, it was announced that Nicki wouldn't be performing. A tannoy message informed the audience at 9.40pm that the show had been cancelled.

After being detained in the Netherlands, Nicki spent about five to six hours behind bars. Fortunately, she was quickly released and given the green light to continue her journey.

The National Police Corps released a statement indicating that a 41 year old woman was arrested for allegedly attempting to transport soft drugs from Schiphol Airport abroad. Later, at approximately 9pm, the Dutch authorities updated that they had let go of their "suspect and she can now move on".

The constabulary revealed to PA news agency that the woman will have to foot "a fine" which will be set by the Public Prosecution Service. The start time of Minaj's gig at Co-op Live was initially scheduled for 6.30pm, but this was changed to 7pm, and fans have since filed into the venue.

What Minaj has said since

Nicki offered a hearty thanks towards her loyal fanbase, known as Barbz, for standing with her during the unforeseen circumstance. She took to X, previously Twitter, to convey: "Thank you to everyone who prayed for me today. May God cover you and all that is connected to you. May you be blessed beyond your imagination."

Turns up in Manchester

Post-arrest, Nicki has been spotted in high spirits, sporting brightly coloured attire after being set free. Seemingly at ease post-release, Nicki opted for a vibrant pink puffer jacket with Fendi logos apparent on the collar, a hot pink beanie displaying Louis Vuitton logos, paired with ski-style sunglasses.

What about Resorts World?

Minaj has said she is set to now kick off her tour in Birmingham. She is still on the Resorts World list and has promised fans, via X, she will see them in Birmingham.
