Barcelona president Joan Laporta has reportedly instructed the club to do 'all they can' to sign Liverpool target Nico Williams this summer.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move to Anfield this summer as he continues to attract interest from major European clubs. The Athletic reported that Arne Slot has previously discussed Williams as a potential target if a winger is needed for his project.

But the Reds are not alone, with Arsenal and Chelsea both thought to be keen on his signature too. Clubs can sign Williams for a reported £49million fee which is known to be his release clause.

According to HITC, president Laporta has 'instructed' the hierarchy to do all they can to 'facilitate the signing' of Williams. He is believed to be a top target for the Spanish giants this summer as he continues to excel at the Euro 2024.

The article adds that there is 'confidence growing' within the Spanish club that they will be able to get a deal over the line for Williams, and he will then reunite with his Spain teammate Lamine Yamal next season.

Elsewhere, Inside Futbol claim that Paris Saint-Germain remain interested in Ibrahima Konate and are waiting for the Reds' 'green light' to open talks over a potential move. The French giants are said to have the 25-year-old as a target signing this summer.

Liverpool meanwhile, have no intention of parting ways with the France international following the departure of Joel Matip at the end of the season. Konate has gone on to form a promising partnership with Virgil van Dijk and is regarded as a key player in the squad.
