Yahoo News Nicola Adams 'will be first female Strictly contestant not to wear a dress'
Boxer Nicola Adams is set to be the first female participant to not wear a dress on Strictly Come Dancing.
The Olympic champion will take to the dance floor of the BBC's prime time show in suits and trouser pieces, it has been reported.
The costume department is known for adding sparkles to contestant's outfits and it is thought her attire will still be adorned with the customary sequins.

It is the not the only change to this year Strictly format, which is debuting its first same-sex couple, while the BBC has also confirmed the Blackpool special will not go ahead this year.
"Anyone who knows Nicola will be aware that her wardrobe consists of jeans and trousers so it would be really unnatural for her to wear a dress," a source told The Sun.
"As far as the Strictly bosses are concerned, it’s a personal choice and they want her to feel comfortable taking part."
They added: “Nicola knows sequins come as part of the Strictly package".
Meanwhile, the Strictly contestants will not head to the famous Tower Ballroom during the second half of the series, it has been confirmed.
Instead, the BBC confirmed the show would pay tribute to the venue from the studio in Elstree, Hertfordshire.
A BBC spokeswoman said: “Blackpool is a milestone moment in every series of Strictly that our audience, our celebs and professional dancers look forward to.
“Whilst we’ll be unable to physically go to Blackpool this series, we’ll still be celebrating this iconic venue and bringing it to life from our studio in Elstree.”
The BBC One programme has filmed at the venue since 2004, taking regular breaks. However, since 2013 there has been a Blackpool special annually.
Soap star Maisie Smith, boxer Nicola Adams, Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh, The Wanted singer Max George and DJ Clara Amfo are all competing this year.
Bruno Tonioli will be absent from the Saturday night judging panel when the show returns.
Tonioli, who is in the US for Dancing With The Stars, will appear full-time towards the end of the series.
