Nicola Sturgeon: The virus is still with us

Scotland has ended its long-standing guidance on self-isolation as Covid cases continue to fall.The advice to self-isolate has been replaced with an encouragement to “stay at home” if ill.It comes as infection numbers plummeted for the fifth successive week across the UK.However, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has warned that the virus is “still with us” and urged people to keep wearing face masks in crowded places.Speaking during a campaign visit to the Barrowfield Community Centre in Camlachie, Glasgow, Ms Sturgeon said: "It’s not the end of the pandemic. I think we’ve got to be clear that this virus is still with us.
