Nicole Kidman has laughed off husband Keith Urban calling her a maniac in the bedroom.

The Big Little Lies star appeared on Australian radio station KIIS 1065 where hosts Kyle Sandliands and Jackie O teased her about the lyrics to country star Urban’s song Gemini, which he has said is inspired by her.

Sandilands asked: "Keith said that's about you in the bedroom, that you're a maniac in bed - do you say to him 'Watch what you say about me, darling?"

Kidman, 52, laughed: "You're so bad! I don't censor his art. If I can be a muse for it..."

Co-host Jackie O, added: "It's not like he says you're a dud in the bedroom."

Kidman agreedL "That'd be worse. It is embarrassing but at the same time it's better than saying 'God, I'm so bored. Make an effort, Nicole'."

Kidman and Urban, 51, have been married since 2006 and have two daughters, Sunday, 11, and eight-year-old Faith.

The Oscar-winning actress shut down the conversation as the radio hosts tried to discuss her sex life further.

Sandilands added in reference to another lyric in the racy song: "He also says you wake up in the middle of the night to get your freak on."

Kidman replied: "No. What? You're making that up, Kyle. Shut up. I'm not answering that. That's outrageous.”

In March this year Kidman was thought to have hung up on the outspoken radio hosts when Jackie O asked her about how she felt making herself look “ugly” for her role in film Destroyer.

When asked if she had a favourite wig she had to ask for the role, Kidman branded it an “awful question”.

She then added: “Anyway, I’ve gotta go, because they’re waiting at the other radio station, which I’d better not say on your show,” and hung up.
