Night Manager actress didn’t know Tom Hiddleston had his bum out

It was one of the most talked about TV moments in ages, and even secured one of its stars a highly coveted Rear of the Year award.

But Tom Hiddleston’s Night Manager co-star Elizabeth Debicki reckons she had NO IDEA that his backside had taken a starring role during that much talked about sex scene in the BBC drama.

“It was intense, that one scene,” the star explained to Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley on This Morning. “I had no idea about the effect it was having.”

“One woman – I can’t remember what newspaper she was from – started asking me so many questions saying, ‘it’s a huge thing here’, and 'everyone’s talking about it’.

"Tom’s bottom scene was screening that night, and then someone [journalists] brought it up. We shot the scene quite quickly and efficiently, and I didn’t realise that was going on in the scene.

"Because I was looking at his face! And the whole thing was quite new to me.”
Safe to say Elizabeth was probably the only one with their gaze fixed firmly on Tom’s face that night.

The 26-year-old actress, who’s now starring in The Red Barn at the National Theatre in London, isn’t the only one who was a little miffed by all the column inches the Hiddleston behind garnered. The Night Manager’s writer David Farr was also startled by all the fuss.
