‘Nightmarish’ thriller that’s ‘not for the weak’ is now streaming on Netflix
Netflix subscribers can now stream an unsettling horror flick that fans warn is 'not for the weak', at no extra cost.
Newly-added to the streamer, the 2023 film was helmed by famed sci-fi director Brandon Cronenberg. It follows a couple who are enjoying an all-inclusive holiday until they are lured away from the resort grounds by a mysterious woman.
Their adventure soon turns 'nightmarish' when they come face-to-face with the resort's violent underbelly. After a tragic accident shocks the island, the couple are left facing a 'zero tolerance policy for crime' in which they either get executed, or can pay to watch themselves die.

It stars Mia Goth, known for her acclaimed performances in the X horror film series. Alexander Skarsgård and Cleopatra Coleman play the married couple who are enticed by Goth's character.
Although the R-rated feature depicts the gory violence you'd expect from a thriller, it delves deeper than most into thought-provoking themes, including morality, class inequality and corruption.
Audiences have been raving about Cronenberg's third release since it came out two years ago. "Cronenberg is now going all-in for the cinema of nightmares, with a film that gets under the skin and itches, invades the brain and plays havoc with the synapses," one Rotten Tomatoes review praised.
A second enthusiast warned: "It's most definitely not for those of weak constitutions - or faint hearts - but it's also not a movie, once seen, you can easily forget."
A third person applauded the film's lasting impact, writing: "There are movies that leave you wondering what exactly you watched and may even be unsettling. Enter, Infinity Pool.
"Violent, gory, hedonistic, and scary. This is a movie that explores abysmal depths wealthy people will go for fun which in the case of this film, is torture - both physical but more importantly, psychological. You won't see another film like it."
Meanwhile a final moviegoer penned: "Infinity Pool is intense, nightmarish, overwhelming and, most troubling of all, pretty sexy."
Infinity Pool is now on Netflix.
