Nikki Grahame remembered by 'Big Brother' housemates on her 39th birthday

Nikki Grahame was remembered by her former Big Brother housemates on what would've been her 39th birthday on Wednesday.

The reality star died earlier this month and had recently received treatment for an eating disorder at a private hospital.

Imogen Thomas, who competed alongside her on 2006's Big Brother, marked the day by saying she felt "blessed" to have had the late Grahame as a friend.

Thomas wrote: "Happy birthday my angel. I hope your [sic] having a ball sipping espresso martinis singing and dancing to eastside 💃 I feel blessed to have had you as a friend and I will cherish our memories.

"Thank you 🙏 May your spirit shine forever. Miss you and love u always Nik 🤍." Thomas accompanied the message with a montage of photographs of the pair.

Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace, who also appeared on the show that year, posted a photo of Grahame, captioning it: "Happy birthday baby girl, too precious and delicate for this cold harsh world, so much vibrance & kindness in one, I know your [sic] in a better place still having fun...

"Death is only painful for those of us left, as we miss you and wish you was still here with us, I believe you, and all lost loved ones are in a better place, a kinder more peaceful place... until we meet again, I will miss you.... dearly. I love you darling. ❤."

Last week it emerged that the hospital Grahame received treatment in before she passed is investigating the circumstances of her death.

She died on 9 April, a day after leaving Dorset County Hospital. A spokesperson said the investigation was in line with "standard procedures" following sudden deaths.

Grahame had suffered from anorexia for decades and wrote two books discussing her struggles.
