A road near Huntingdon is due to close to motorists from today (Monday, September 30). Steeple Gidding Road, in Steeple Gidding, will be shut for two weeks while roadworks take place.

The works will be carried out by Cambridgeshire County Council, which is carrying out repairs and maintenance on the carriageway. These are scheduled to take place between the hours of 8am and 11.59pm.

The closure is due to last until next Friday (October 11). Roadworks and a diversion route will be in place at all times during this period, with motorists advised to plan journeys accordingly.
