A nine-year-old boy was astonished, when he caught a MONSTER fish.

Kegan Rothman was out fishing with his dad, when he hooked a 600lb great white sturgeon.

It nearly pulled him into the water – the Fraser River, in Canada – during last Monday’s giant catch.

With his dad Dan and their guide, Ben Trainer, they struggled for an hour and 45 minutes to reel it in.

Since they posted a video on YouTube on Wednesday, it’s clocked up more than 90,000 views.

Kegan said: “It is the most excitement I’ve ever had with a fish. It was so hard to hold on to the rod. I thought the fish was going to pull me into the water.”

Footage, made by Great River Fishing Adventures, shows them releasing it back in to the water after.
