Being indoors much more than we would be five years ago means we're more attune than ever to what's happening outside our front door.

They're also ideal for extra security when you're on holiday or have pets (i.e. cats) who like to wander off.

Amazon's own brand, Ring Doorbell, is a bestseller from the retailer thanks to its easy set up and budget-friendly price tag. Its wireless and has a two-way talk feature, so you can hear and speak to anyone from your smartphone, and receive instant notifications when anyone presses your doorbell or when motion is detected.
