Ninja Warrior UK contestant breaks incredible record
ITV's assault-course reality show Ninja Warrior UK welcomed its first ever female competitor to reach the Eliminator stage tonight (May 18).
Competing in the show's second round of semi-finals, Beth Lodge took to the course with a mix of resilience, stamina and good old fashioned belief – not to mention some impressive muscles.

"Beth Lodge has completed the course and becomes the first woman to make it to THE ELIMINATOR!", the official Ninja Warrior UK Twitter account wrote.
"This puts her in seventh place on our #NinjaWarriorUK semi-final leaderboard!"
After her onscreen heroics, co-host Ben Shephard collared Beth for a short interview where she described herself as "exhausted and exhilarated" following the gruelling performance. We bet.
Viewers were loving this record-breaking action, as Twitter filled up with supportive posts for Beth.

Last year's series produced yet another winless finale, so hopefully, Beth stands a chance of breaking another record.
Meanwhile, Ben and co-host Rochelle Humes have previously defended the famously difficult course, after the show was called out for pushing people too hard.

She said: "It filters out a lot of people that just want to watch it on telly and give it a go. Then we get to the semis and the finals and we see these individuals that filter all year round and they might be really into parkour or free-runners and they do this anyway, this is their drive.
"We see them on Instagram jumping from roof to roof. That's their buzz and we just give it to them on this plate, and they are more looked after with us, as they have a team before and after to look after them."
Ninja Warrior UK returns next Saturday (May 25) on ITV at 6.30pm.
