Nintendo Brings Back The NES With Classic Mini Console

Hot on the heels of the massive success of its first mobile game Pokemon Go, Nintendo has resurrected its famous NES console.

Dubbed the Nintendo Classic Mini, the miniature console’s full name is Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition and will come with 30 classic games built-in.

The near-identical mini replica of Nintendo’s original home console plugs into the TV via the included HDMI cable.

The tiny console also comes with a controller based with a design based on the original NES controller.

Gamers will also be able to buy an extra controller separately (Nintendo)

The lineup of vintage games includes classics like Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Pac-Man, and Donkey Kong.

“We wanted to give fans of all ages the opportunity to revisit Nintendo’s original system and rediscover why they fell in love with Nintendo in the first place,” said Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime.

“The Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition is ideal for anyone who remembers playing the NES, or who wants to pass on those nostalgic memories to the next generation of gamers.”

The NES Classic Edition is set to launch on 11 November with a price tag of $59.99, though no official UK price has been confirmed.
