Nintendo just snagged a huge gong at the T3 Awards

The T3 Awards has revealed its annual list of the greatest gizmos in the magazine's glitzy award ceremony tonight (September 20).

The awards, which is now in its eleventh year, brought together the likes of Gary Numan and Zoe Ball's dad, TV presenter Johnny Ball, along with numerous tech experts to celebrate the best in the industry today.

Across 38 categories, the brand revealed The Amazon Echo as the coveted Gadget of the Year, while Samsung Galaxy S7 snagged Phone of the Year, and Digital Spy was there in person to award Nintendo the Brand of the Year award.

Speaking about the awards (which were sponsored by Three), Dan Grabham, editor of T3.com, said: "This year's T3 Awards is the biggest ever, with all the hottest areas in tech covered, from mobile to connected home. Now, more than ever, the T3 Awards celebrates the Best of Everything."

Four of the categories were decided by the brand's readers and a panel of journalists, while Gadget of the Year, Phone of the Year, Brand of the Year and Retailer of the Year were picked by an elite panel of tech industry experts.
