No more meat industry in 15 years, claims Impossible Foods CEO

The meat industry as we know it could become a thing of the past, according to the founder and CEO of a company specialising in plant-based foods.

Impossible Foods CEO Patrick Brown said in a CNBC interview that people are searching for healthier foods. He's convinced that meat alternatives will take over the animal food market - saying that "transformation is inevitable" and that in 15 years the meat industry will be completely gone.

Brown claims that the Impossible products match the protein and quality of the animal products they mimic, which will give them a leg up in the future.
