'No, no, no, no, no... why am I under arrest?' Moment honey trap killer tells barefaced lies to cops

This the moment murder suspect Rebecca Moore tried to evade justice as the net closed in.

Rebecca Moore gave a false name as she was questioned by a South Yorkshire police officer in a street in Sheffield just three days after the 'barbaric' murder of Sacad Ali.

Moore, a sex worker and drug addict, had lured Sacad to a park with the promise of a sexual encounter but instead he was ambushed and stabbed to death by two accomplices, teenagers Barney Griffin and Jack Douglas, who were armed with machetes.

In the police arrest video, Moore can be seen putting a cigarette in her mouth as she provides a false name and a wrong date of birth. She insists she has done nothing wrong when asked to provide some ID.

After an officer tells her she is alleged to be involved in murdering Sacad Ali, Moore keeps up the pretence, her mouth dropping open.

She says: "No, no, no, no, no... why am I, why am I, why am I under arrest?"

Moore, Griffin and Douglas were today jailed at Sheffield Crown Court for murder. Moore denied murdering Sacad but was convicted after a trial. Although she took no part in the actual violence, she had lured Sacad to the scene by duping him.

The court heard that Griffin and Douglas were drug dealers and, along with Moore, murdered Sacad as he had started drug dealing on their 'turf'.

The court heard that Griffin and Douglas had been 'recruited or corrupted' to enter the 'fetid swamp' of drug dealing which formed the background to the murder of Sacad.

The judge said there was some evidence Griffin had been 'exploited' to get involved in gangs but that he had seen it as a 'glamourous enterprise'.

Moore was described as an 'intelligent woman' who had a 'very poor upbringing' who had made 'appalling lifestyle choices'. She had denied murder but was found guilty after a trial.

South Yorkshire Police said the investigation into the death of Sacad Ali had quickly led to murder charges against Moore, Griffin and Douglas.

Det Chief Insp Ben Wood said: "The two teenagers murdered Sacad in a barbaric way, with Moore also murdering him by duping him into meeting and luring him to the spot where he would be brutally attacked.

"Rather than admit her guilt, Moore then made Sacad's loved ones relive the events of the day he died by making them endure a trial in court, after which she was found guilty of murder.

"A lot of exemplary detective and policing work went into this murder investigation and today's result is testament to everyone's hard work on this tragic case."
