Yahoo News No one knew who Rita Ora was on The Voice Germany
Rita Ora decided to play a little prank on The Voice Germany coaches by pretending to be a contestant in the Blind Auditions… only it didn't exactly go down quite as well as she was probably expecting.
Look, we'd be able to recognise Rita anywhere, but it seems the coaches in Germany aren't quite as in touch with UK pop stars… and we are not just talking Rita's voice, but her looks too.
The singer - who used to be a coach on The Voice UK - took to the stage on the German version of the talent show and belted out her own tune 'Your Song'.
Luckily, all of the coaches turned - so far so good.
However, after turning they still didn't seem to recognise that it was Rita herself on stage. Awkward. "I am a 26-year-old aspiring musician from London. I'm so nervous, I can't even tell you. How did I do?" Rita asked afterwards.
One of the coaches then noted that her rendition "almost sounded like the original". Erm…
After the judges still didn't realise it was all a prank, Rita eventually revealed that it was in fact her with one of the coaches then asking if she was a double.
"No, I'm not a double! I thought I'd come over here to crash the blind auditions," she explained.
Another coach then added: "Before, I said: 'She could be the third-place in a lookalike contest. Second place in a sound-a-like contest.'" Double awkward.
Still. Rita seemed to take it in her stride. What a star.
